Just Another Day In SouthLA

Earth Day in Inglewood

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending Earth Day in Inglewood sponsored by Social Justice Learning Institute and Edison.  The event had an extremely positive turnout, from earth chalk drawing on the pavement, to helpful booths coaching and encouraging citizens on how  to do their part in cleaning the earth, even Inglewood’s very own District 1,  Councilman Michael Stevens  came out to support in this joyous event.  The Social Justice Learning Institute also promoted one of many “Green Gardens” they recently opened up to launch a greener Inglewood.  The Social Justice Learning Institute will be launching several more gardens just like the one in Queen Park all across Inglewood.   Check out the pictures from the event.
