[Los AngelesVikings] Well, just a day after the Legislature adjourned without a stadium deal for the Vikings in Minnesota, team officials were spotted meeting with representatives from AEG, the group behind theLos Angeles proposed Farmer’s Field. The Insurance company offered AEG $1 billion in naming fees for a pair of NFL teams. The two groups were spotted at a downtownMinneapolishotel, however the the VP of the Vikings, Lester Bagley claims it not what you think. Bagley claims he was meeting with the group to discuss a LA Live type of development near Viking Stadium inMinnesota. Hmmmhm sure….
[Deadline] AEG CEO Tim Leiweke calmly announced to LA Times that he is fully prepared to cut the Downtown Stadium plans completely if the LA City Council doesn’t come to an agree with the preliminary deal by July 31. AEG doesn’t feel like they gain the right traction they should at this point, however, not sited that they have any resistance from the City.
