Just Another Day In SouthLA

LA Waterfront on the Come Up!

I often not only forget San Pedro is part of LA, but that it even exist, well San Pedro be ignored no more!  San Pedro is breaking ground this month “Downtown Harbor,” a stretch of waterfront in the Downtown San Pedro District (peep the Pirate Ship pulling in).  The Downtown Harbor ground breaking is starting with a “water cut,” meaning workers will remove 1.2 acres of the3 waterfront land to make an inlet for boats to dock while also creating a towne square and promenade around the inlet.  The project also comes with new landscaping, lighting, a promenade, and public art.  This project is set to be the “centerpiece of the LA Waterfront revitalization.”
