Just Another Day In SouthLA
The developer of the Boulevards at South Bay project in Carson is altering its plans for the former landfill site to include an outlet mall instead of a traditional retail mall. The outlet mall would join the Citadel Outlets in nearby Commerce as the second outlet mall in the LA area not on the way to Santa Barbara or Palm Springs. The project’s required cleanup work is getting $81 million in financial help from the city, and “Most of those funds come from property tax increments paid to the city’s former Redevelopment Agency.
