Check out these renderings I came across for the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, they’re light-weight Awesome! This Festival Companies, no clue who they are, asked the offices of Rios Clementi Hale to re-conceptualize and reposition BHCP. The plans submitted call for the retention of existing major department stores, retail shops, and state-of-the-art movie theater, while adding new housing and a hotel to create a mixed-use community, and re-visioning the entire property with new and modern styling, landscaping, furnishing, and decorative lighting, which will provide a special inviting ambiance. Storefronts will be transparent with character and identity creatively built into them, supporting the impression of the unique spirit of the merchandise and the mall. Like I said this light-weight Awesome, however I would more like to see the Mall to stay the way it is not to preserve its historical figure and do this behind the Mall at Marlton Square.
