Ground has already been broken for the new 40-unit affordable housing coming to Jefferson Park at Jefferson and 4th Ave. The, approximately, $15 million project will consist of 9 one-bedroom apartments, 19 two-bedroom apartments, and 12 three-bedroom apartments with rents estimated at $593-$793 for one-bedrooms, two bedrooms from $517-$1,028, and three bedrooms from $595- $1,253. The project is slated for completion October 2013. “This project is a remarkable achievement in this rough economy,”stated by Council President Herb Wesson, which this project falls in his district. “We need more affordable housing, and with the hard work of our office and the strong support from our Jefferson Park community partners we succeeded.” The Jefferson Square Apartments will also feature 1,500 square feet of ground floor commercial retail space.
Applications will be distributed online (www.JeffersonSquareLA.com) and in front of the building on March 4th thru March 9th, 2013 and March 11th, thru March 15th, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Applicants must have incomes that fall below 60% of Los Angeles County median income.
