Yes, LA has a Midtown, its actually called MidCity, and even though its border by affluent neighborhoods such as West Adams District, Lafayette Square, Victoria Park, and Hancock Park, MidCity is slightly ratchett. Well that might be changing soon, the Midtown Shopping Center Associates (MTSCA) has acquired the land under Midtown Shopping Center plus two adjacent properties totaling 14.56 acres for $42.5 million from Catellus Development Corp. based out of Denver. Well hopefully this means MidCity will spruce it up a bit.
