Hawthorne High is in the midst of a overhaul, adding new classrooms, administrative offices and an upgraded library. Along with local high school Leuzinger, Hawthorne is getting some much needed tlc. Hawthorne’s several new building are made possible by $98 million construction bond measure approved back 2010. Construction has already begun and will continue all summer, with the administrative offices opening in the fall. The 14 new classrooms and the revamped library are expected to be ready in December. Over the last 10 years schools have been getting revamped, yet inner city schools, the ones that need it the most and now just getting some much need attention, I’m just saying though.
