Celebrated for vivid storytelling through his lyrics and love songs, R&B sensation Tank will serenade the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw community with some of his most beloved hits this Sunday. The free performance by a star on the rise in modern R&B will wrap up this year’s BHCP Live! Summer Concert Series.
Singer-songwriter Tank is known for his cutting-edge sounds, often produced in collaboration with other top names in the genre, including Chris Brown and T.I. Earlier this month, he teamed up with two other R&B icons, Tyrese and Ginuwine, to create the album Three Kings under the artist name TGT. His personal discography includes five albums that have gone on to secure four Grammy nominations and two Gold certifications; fans know him for hits such as “Maybe I Deserve” and “Please Don’t Go.” He has also played a role in writing and producing music for other well-known artists such as Jennifer Hudson, Keyshia Cole and Jamie Foxx, and helped shape the soundtrack for the Oscar-winning film adaptation of Dreamgirls.
Food will be available for purchase at the performance, with offerings by local restaurants including Buffalo Wild Wings, Southern Girl Desserts, Fleur de Yucatan and Fatburger.
Outdoor seating is on a first come first serve basis. Free parking is available in the structure across from Rave Cinemas and throughout the mall property.
